Media Reluctant to Endorse Four More Years | Blue Collar Muse

Major endorsements are one of the top prizes of any election season. They are more than just feather...
... Clearly, the nation’s editorial boards, for all their liberal leanings, are reluctant to issue a ringing call for four more years.

TNGOP Demands Craig Fitzhugh Apologize For Lying To Voters

NASHVILLE, TN. TNGOP – In a mailer sent out by Democrat House Minority Leader Craig Fitzhugh (D-Ripley) this week, he claims to be the only candidate against a state income tax.
Despite his claim, the fact is that Craig Fitzhugh fought for and voted for a state income tax (SB 2646; 5/22/02).

“Craig Fitzhugh should be ashamed and embarrassed that he would flat out lie to voters in his district,” said Tennessee Republican Party Chairman Chris Devaney.

“We know that Craig Fitzhugh may have just found out that his re-election bid is quickly sinking, but that is no excuse to belittle voters’ intelligence just days before the election. Instead of defending his undisputed support for a state income tax, Mr. Fitzhugh has chosen instead to take the path of a compulsive liar and potentially tarnish his own reputation. We demand that Craig Fitzhugh make an immediate apology for lying to District 82 voters, or at the very least, seek counseling for his pathological lying.”

Craig Fitzhugh is being challenged by Republican Johnny Edwards in House District 82, which includes Lauderdale, Crockett and Haywood counties in West Tennessee.

Benghazi: Don't blame the CIA.

Petraeus Throws Obama Under the Bus

www.weeklystandard.com

Breaking news on Benghazi: the CIA spokesman, presumably at the direction of CIA director David Petraeus, has put out this statement: "No one at any level in the CIA told anybody not to help those in need; claims to the contrary are simply inaccurate. ”

Your first time shouldn’t be with just anybody. You want to do it with a great guy.

I am by no means a prude, but this Obama ad really is in poor taste. Why should I be surprised and expect more from this President?

Actress Lena Dunham says, “Your first time shouldn’t be with just anybody. You want to do it with a great guy.” She is speaking of voting. I guess the President thinks this is the way to reach the young voters of America. Show how cool and hip and irreverent you are and they will vote for you? I hope most college age people are not that shallow.

Marsha Blackburn's Open Letter to President Obama

Mr. President,

What could you possibly have been thinking? The ad you have launched featuring a young actress equating voting for you to a sexual act is offensive to me, to millions of women and to the stature of the office you hold. As a father of two beautiful girls, how could you possibly have allowed this to be aired? Did you approve this? Did someone on your campaign staff actually think this was a good idea? It is offensive, repulsive and should be removed immediately. It is beneath the dignity of the office you hold. Mr. President, are you and your Democrat colleagues so focused on sex and reproductive rights that you really think that is the single motivator for women? Are you not aware that women in 2012 are focused on jobs, the economy, economic opportunity? Women are running companies, serving as the human resource director of companies and helping employees solve problems. Women are doctors, lawyers, teachers, sales managers, marketers. They handle problems in the workplace by day and manage their families by night. They are concerned about the healthcare of their families and are the drivers in healthcare decisions, making 85% of all healthcare decisions. Many women are heads of households. Many are the primary wage earners for their families.

Do you know that many women are voting this year because they have $16T reasons to go to the polls? Debt and out of control spending are at the top of their list. They are concerned that you don’t want to pass a budget. They are concerned that the future for their children is being capped and traded to the countries that own our debt. How can you possibly look these moms in the eye when you have equated their vote to ‘the first time’? Are you really serious?

I find it ironic that you have time to approve such a message but you don’t have time to find out what happened in Benghazi . By the way, we are still waiting to hear directly from you when you were told of the attacks. Did you know before you put your head on the pillow that evening that you had an Ambassador and staff that were in danger? Did you know it was a terrorist attack? When you hob-nobbed in Las Vegas, did you know it was not a video? Was getting out on the campaign trail, seeing your Hollywood friends and raising campaign cash more important that fighting terrorism and defending those who are giving their lives to defend us?

Serving as President of the United States is a privilege that is afforded to few in our country. When you became the 44th President, you accepted the responsibilities of preserving this nation and protecting us from foes, foreign and domestic. Sir, you need to reign in the inappropriate behavior, retract your Rolling Stone comments and get this First Time ad off the air. You should be conducting yourself like the American people expect their President to conduct himself.

Marsha Blackburn
Member of Congress

P.S. I can guarantee that I am working my hardest and doing my best to build a victory for my side of the aisle and my candidate, Governor Mitt Romney. And, yes, on November 6, I fully believe that you will find that “we the people” have decided to “be the people.” We are building this victory and will look forward to looking back at this election victory and saying, “Yes, we did build that! We have built this country and it is here to stay!”

Benghazi: Were CIA Operators Told to ‘Stand Down’ During Attack & Were 3 Urgent Requests for Military Back-Up Denied?

Explosive new allegations surrounding the Benghazi attack emerged this morning, with FOX News’ Jennifer Griffin reporting that sources have confirmed that three urgent requests for military assistance sent from the CIA annex were all denied. Additionally, CIA operators were told to “stand down” rather than respond when shots were heard around 9:40 p.m. on September 11. Following the alleged developments, Charles Woods, father of ex-Navy SEAL Tyrone Woods who was killed in the attack, spoke out on Glenn Beck’s radio program.(link)
The more we learn about Bnegazi, it looks with increased certainty that the Obama administration  ignored warnings prior to the event that would indicate our consulate should be reinforced or withdrawn, that the administration watched drone aerial transmission  of events on the ground in real time, that a plea for help as the attack was underway was ignored, and that the administration lied and provided a story they knew to be untrue claiming the attack was a spontaneous eruption resulting from a YouTube video insulting to Islam.

If this was any other administration, the press would be screaming for answers instead of soft-peddling the story. The mainstream press is so enamored of the Obama presidency they have lost all objectivity. This should be a bigger story than was Iran-Contra or Watergate.

If Obama is not  voted out of office on November 6th he should be impeached.  Also, throw in as an impeachable offense the Fast and Furious cover up.  President Obama is a totally despicable human being and is a disgrace to the office of the Presidency.
