Look what I got out of my garden!

by Rod Williams, June 12, 2023- This came out of my garden yesterday. It is a Trombone squash. This one weight four pounds and is 32 inches in lengths. That is a lot of squash. One will make a big squash casserole.

You can eat them fresh or let them mature and use them like a winter squash.  They taste like regular yellow squash when eaten fresh. 

This is the first time I have ever grown them. At first, I thought these are so easy to grow and good to eat, why don't you see them in the grocery store or why don't more people grow them. Then I realized, one is a lot of squash. Bigger is not always better.
