Tennessee Senate Judiciary Committee hearing of Mae Beavers' nullification bill on February 27, 2013

Senator Brian Kelsey explains the folly of Mae Beavers nullification bill and why it is unconstitutional.  The bill failed to get out of committee. Since to move the bill out of committee requires a majority, a vote of 4-4 fails to move it out of committee but does not kill the bill. The Committee could take it up again. Thankfully, Gov. Haslam has said that if the bill does pass he will not sign it. Watch this video to see the debate on each side.
