Fishing, A Conservative point of view
Give a man a fish and he’ll eat for a day. Teach a man to fish and he’ll eat for a lifetime.
Fishing, A Liberal point of view
Tax a man for fishing. With the tax money, pay another fisherman not to fish. Regulate fishing in such a way that the fisherman can no longer make a profit fishing and goes out of business. Give him a fish so he can eat. Subsidize the failing fishing industry. Raise taxes to pay for subsidizing the failing fishing industry and fund a three year study to find out why the fishing industry is failing.
